What a media tastic week its been.
We returned from holiday to both do some SUPPORTING ARTISTE work on a new ITV1 comedy drama called CATWALK DOGS. Filming was on the riverbank just by Teddington Studios. Its all set in the world of Dogshows and stars Kris Marshall (he of BT Ad and 'My Family' and 'Love Actually' fame). I had a small speaking part!!! I was ticket collector and had to stop Kris going into the Dog Show and stamp his hand. Then I was 'Man on Tannoy' - non-speaking this time but using my full range of mime skills to imitate -yes - a man on a Tannoy.
Next day we were both crowd extras. Once again my acting ability came in handy - namely walking around and standing. It was indeed some of the best walking around and standing I have ever done. Pat also did some superb walking as well as buying ticket at the Tombola but she improvised and had a rubber chicken fight in the background too. Lovely easy days of sitting around in the sun, stroking dogs, and getting fed and paid!
Then Sunday we went to a restaurant in Windsor which is taking part in a new BBC series called 'The Restaurant' - bit like the Apprentice but the winner gets to run their own restaurant.
Once again eating was involved. We had to eat our meals during which we were filmed for the programme. Raymond Blanc - top chef type person - came to chat to us and asked us what we thought of the food. Pat was interviewed on camera and used all her articulate skills to describe the food - it was either 'nice' or 'very very nice'. Well that'll get used then. Should be on in September.
Some info!

Probably clash with 'Catwalk Dogs' or 'Vivienne Vyle' -see Jennifer Saunders entry for that!

Ha! This actually made me laugh out loud! Good thing I wasn't drinking milk or I would have squirted it out my nose.
