GOOD TECHNOLOGY

Just acquired some new technology. First of all , an IPOD! And not just any old ipod but a brand new 5th generation Video iPOD. What I didn't realise until I bought it is that not only can you use it to store your photos, video and songs but it can also be used as a portable hard drive too. Very handy. 30G too.
So far, I've been loading up a load of my CDs (don't really see myself downloading much as my CD collection is already pretty large.) Also managed to transfer some old vinyl tunes too -so I've got the pops and crackles on my ipod now -20th century meets 21st century!
Although I don't intend to use the video facilities much, I've managed to get a couple of Beatle videos on there by using DVDDECRYPTER followed by IPOD VIDEO CONVERTER - both free programs - they look pretty good. Also stuck on my Showreel as I work for the telly so if I should bump into Steven Spielburg in the pub I can instantly show him my work and he'll be so impressed he'll hire me there and then. Well perhaps not.
Bought an iTrip too to go with it so as I can 'broadcast' my ipod to the car radio. This is yet to be tested!
Now I'm also testing out a brand new HD SKY BOX for SKY. Trouble is I don't have an HD telly (yet) so can't report on how the quality looks in HD once broadcast - but even on a normal standard TV the HD channels look pretty sharp with no pixellation at all.
Of course I can't really put too much up here cos the testing is confidential so I shall say no more for now!
I like technology when it works!
