we've been to tuscany!

Yes -another trip - well it was a few weeks ago but only now got a bit of spare time.

We went to Tuscany to a lovely Bed And Breakfast in a place called Molino Del Piano 14km or so from Florence. Now this B & B was 68 Euros for the room and of course breakfast but also use of their lovely swimmng pool which we could use whenever we wanted. So we basically had the pool mostly to ourselves which was great.
Paid a visit to Florence a couple of times - went by train to avoid trying to park -impossible apparantly. visited the famous DAvid statue and also the Uffizi gallery - trouble was with the exchange rate so bad at the moment we couldn't really afford to visit too many museums!! Anyway you can get culture overload!

Other places included Sienna - fabulous probably almost nicer than Florence in fact/ Poppi/ San Gimigano / The Chianti country in general.
Now driving - we have now driven abroad quite a lot and don't worry too much about it now, though we have to say its true that the Italians are mad drivers!! Pat would often exclaim ' my goodness , that man in that car who was probably born out of wedlock is driving very close to the back of my car...' or ' crickey, that gentleman is surely not driving straight towards me in the middle of the road and going to get past'... or words very similiar to that anyway.

Final day we visited Pisa and stood on the very top and too kthe most touristy possible photos of the tower that there is to take.

We present the most touristy photo ever. Most touristy photo ever number 2.

All in all a lovely time - great weather - 36 degrees - in fact a bit too hot most of the time.
No more trips planned now though. ... theres a credit crunch and the world banking systeem is about to collapse so soon the internet will probably go down with the whole of Western society, so this could be the last blog.......
