There are people who do not understand Harrys comedy. These are usually people who have only seen him on TV and never seen a live performance. Well myself (Phil) and Dilwyn first saw Harry at the Edinburgh festival back in about 1996 and have followed him ever since. The humour is daft but also very clever!
He appeared at Windsor Arts Centre for three nights as a warm up for his new tour
see www.harry-hill.tv for details!
Now, last year Dilwyn and Lynne got married and as part of the best man speech I arranged for Harry to sign a card saying 'Dilwyn and Lynne getting married? what are the chances of that happening?' This was presented to them on the beach in St Lucia so it seemed only right that almost a year later we got a picture for the unofficial wedding album of Harry with the happy couple.
Seeing him in a small venue like Windsor Arts Centre is fantastic compared to a large theatre where you are always one step removed from the performance. Without giving away any gags too much the perfromance included inter-species swingball, 'Animal Hospital' theme played on car horns, a giant Stouffer fighting with a giant badger , an appearance by Harrys Dad with zimmer frame and dolls heads atttached to a childs bicycle stabalizer. You really had to be there. He revealed his experiences on the space shuttle (Harry has made the trip into space three times, each time with a different supply of sweets) , how ducks feel when you throw bread at them, and the differences conjured up when comparing the name Katie Price with Jordan.
JORDAN YOUR DINNERS ON THE TABLE - IT'S YOUR FAVOURITE -NUGGETS. You really did have to be there.
